Hours - Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working – following successful completion of probation period
Holiday – 20 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
About the Audit Trainee role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Audit Trainee in our Lewes office.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual with a genuine interest in what makes a business tick! In this role you will gain valuable insight and hands on experience of Audit & Assurance and provide day to day support to our highly successful and growing Audit & Assurance Team. For the right candidate there will also be opportunities for progression within the company.
Key responsibilities of an Audit Trainee will include:
- work alongside seniors/semi seniors on audits
- assist in various stages of the audit process
- undertake non-audit assignments including accounts preparation and tax computations
- exposure to the process of preparing statutory accounts & book keeping for clients and providing assistance with this process
- attending regular courses and meetings to ensure your knowledge is kept up to date in a constantly changing economic environment
- support Seniors on in-house & external Audits for a wide variety of clients
- act as positive ambassador for TC Knill James
About you –
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- either AAT qualified or have achieved a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree
- ideally familiar with CCH
- proficient in Microsoft – Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- values the importance of team work, listens well & supports colleagues
- strong organisational and planning skills
- excellent written & oral communication
- demonstrate professional presentation & work ethic
