Data Scientist - R/SQL/Python

Profile : Data Scientist Job description : - Design and Develop data science solutions fairly independently to drive incremental value for the team. - Collaborate with business functions to design and shape experiments to demonstrate data science-enabled advantage. - Define best practices related to information architecture, including collection, integration, organization, analysis and visualization of data for data-enabled impact. - Communicate findings to internal teams to enable business impact. - Engage in data science practice development initiatives focused on building employee knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise through coaching and development of training course material. - Write well documented code that can be shared and used across teams, and can scale to be used in existing products. SQL, Advanced Python or R (descriptive / predictive models), Tableau Visualization. Working knowledge of Hadoop, BigQuery, Presto, Vertica - Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to uncover unique actionable insights about customer service, health of public conversation and social media - Inform, influence, support, and execute analysis that feeds into one of our many analytics domains Customer analytics, product analytics, business operation analytics, cost analytics, media analytics, people analytics - Select and deselect analytics priorities, insights and data based on ability to drive our desired outcomes - Own the end to end process, from initiation to deployment, and through ongoing communication and collaboration, sharing of results to partners and leadership Roles Responsibilities : - As a data scientist at Team, you will help transform the Kmart group data into tangible business value by analysing information, synthesizing insights and communicating outcomes - Uses the latest technologies that directly impact performance. - Readily learns and adopts new technologies. - Identifies technologies that can help complete tasks. Technical skills required : - Basic statistical literacy is a must - Concepts in probability, statistical distributions, inferential statistics. - Hands on experience in simple techniques such as multiple linear regression and logistic regression is mandatory. - Data Management Skills using SQL - Basic understanding of Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.). - Experience in agile development methodologies - Excellent programming skills in Python (ref:hirist.tech)
