Data Analyst - Insurance - Lloyds Syndicate - London - Hybrid - 12 month FTC - £70,000


My client is a leading Lloyd's Syndicate who are looking for a dynamic Data Analytics Specialist to join their team. This role is a 12 month fixed term contract, based in London with some remote capabilities, that is paying up to £70,000.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and update critical information displayed on the underwriting dashboard, ensuring underwriters have the latest data insights at the point of sale.
  • Work closely with IT and Data Engineers to implement updates and changes to data marts, curated layers, and semantic models.
  • Partner with IT to select and integrate Artificial Intelligence tools to provide real-time risk insights directly to underwriters.
  • Facilitate discussions with business stakeholders to interpret data analytics and foster data awareness, enhancing decision-making.
  • Create intuitive dashboards and data visualizations that showcase the latest analyses and findings from the actuarial and data science teams.
  • Provide data analytics support to departments such as exposure management, finance, HR, and claims, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to source, cleanse, analyse, and visualize external data sets to generate actionable insights.
  • Educate business users on available data resources and tools, promoting self-service analytics and generating ideas for future analysis through collaboration with IT and Data Engineers.


Requirements:

  • Strong experience in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and data analytics platforms.
  • Solid background within the Insurance/Financial Services industries (Lloyds Market experience desirable).
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar data extraction and analysis tools.
  • Experience working with IT teams, data engineers, and data scientists.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tools and their application in risk analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with business leaders and support decision-making.
