Job Description

The Leeds office enjoys a prime location in the heart of the city centre, offering a collaborative and exciting environment for Engineers and Consultants of all levels. With a live requirement for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer it's a particularly good time to join the MEP team, with a proven track record working across the North of England. The Leeds and Manchester offices have also provided a springboard to open up a route into Scotland. Working collaboratively within the Northern division, you will be joining a high performing technical team who thrive on complex projects.
The MEP team are specialists in energy, sustainability, and engineering design. As a group they bring buildings to life and create award winning, high-performance environments that enhance the built environment – working across all sectors including commercial, industrial, leisure, retail, manufacturing, logistics, heritage and residential.
Current schemes include:
* Building performance modelling
* Building performance optimisation
* Carbon verification and validation strategies
* Daylight and sunlight studies
* Net-Zero strategy
* Sustainability benchmarking and environmental assessments
* Sustainable master planning
* Strategic utility management services
Responsibilities will include:
* Be responsible for the day-to-day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multi-disciplinary projects across a number of building sectors.
* Produce design deliverables including specifications, drawings, and schedules.
* Support timely invoicing, debt chasing, management of WIP and forward workload/resource planning for your own projects.
* Mentor graduates/apprentices and support with their learning.
Qualifications / Experience:
* Relevant qualification at HNC, HND, Bachelors or Masters, within substantial electrical building services engineering knowledge.
* Ideally chartered status (or working towards it).
* Proven track record of leading and delivering schemes.
* Sound knowledge of BIM processes, Revit and Amtech and demonstrable experience working with architects in a design centred role
