Job Description

Supplier Auditor - Salary circa £35,000

This is a great job for someone with audit / quality assurance (QA) experience and an eye for detail. Our team provides timely and relevant insight into the performance of our Claims Suppliers & Delegated Authority Brokers, to drive improvements in customer service, cost, and regulatory compliance.

The role will support ever evolving improvements for customers under our Consumer Duty initiatives.

Aviva operates a "smart-working" policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office, and this role is based in Norwich or Perth, with fortnightly travel included.

A bit about the job:

In this role, you will meet with suppliers across the UK to evaluate their performance against contractual terms and complete a robust independent review (approximately 3 days per fortnight visiting suppliers). These meetings will enable you to understand their current performance and their approach to their work, including contractual detail where appropriate. You will then use your data/analytical skills to support our requirement to ensure we are operating in a robust risk and control environment.

This role will also include completing independent reviews (audits) of Claims Suppliers & Delegated Authority Brokers to include technical file reviews, assessments of supplier controls and report findings clearly and in context with agreed actions to optimise future performance and identifying areas of opportunity to drive efficient audit processes, then sharing best practice with the wider team.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Quality assurance / audit review experience (incl. providing feedback).
  • A good understanding of risk and governance methodologies and processes.
  • Strong IT capability (advanced excel user) including analysis of data, pivot tables, reporting from numerous data sources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
