Lending Manager - Fintech

My client is a new Fintech focused on SME lending, they are well capitalised and it is an exciting time for the business as it scales up. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business in their early stages and to be involved early doors as they continue to grow.

We have an exciting opportunity to join them as a Lending Manager. As a Lending Manager, you will successfully support and deliver a broad range of commercial property and asset based secured loans for the business. Your main responsibilities will include the effective execution of new lending proposals after deals have been approved by credit through to drawdown as well as ongoing diligent management of the lending portfolios through to loan maturity, including the preparation of documentation and ongoing loan monitoring. Liaising with customers to obtain information in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are maintained. You will work closely with external partners such as brokers and solicitors and internally with the Business Development, Credit Underwriting and Loans Operations teams throughout the customer journey.

As part of this role the expectation is that the individual will play an important part in supporting the Loan Management team to streamline operational systems and improve the customer experience.

The role requires hybrid working.

Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience within a similar role (e.g. Lending Manager, Operations, Relationship Support, Loan Execution, Portfolio Management) within Corporate or Commercial Banking
• Good understanding of loan and security documentation
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy and adhering to tight timescales
• Track record of delivering an outstanding level of service to customers
• Strong interpersonal skills (networking and negotiation) confident in communicating at all levels
• Ability to operate proactively and independently whilst also working well within a small team
• Highly motivated, organised and proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
