Building Safety Senior Surveyor

Andersen James are currently supporting a Housing Provider with their search for a Building Safety Surveyor in the North West and North East.

Key aspects of the role include:

- Lead responsibility for managing £10m FRA (Fire Risk Assessment) works program, including delivery of fire door and compartmentation surveys across residential, care and leasehold sectors to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Good technical knowledge of building practices, legislation (including Health & Safety, Building Regulations, CDM, RRFSO) and Section 20 leasehold requirements, with proven experience in contractor and project management.

- Accountability for budget management, quality assurance, performance monitoring of contractors and maintaining accurate documentation through C365/Be Safe systems while ensuring value for money in fire remediation works.

- Focus on collaborative stakeholder management, including working with property, procurement, operations and health & safety teams, while maintaining effective communication with residents and ensuring customer satisfaction.

This hybrid role will be on a 6-month fixed-term contract and the salary is approximately £42,000, plus a car allowance of £5,800.
