• Previous experience: 1-4 PQE - Ideally a solid background in M&A work. Private Equity experience would also be useful. Hiring managers are looking for candidates with real passion for corporate law and a real desire to develop a strong career in the Manchester market.

One of the key aspects of this opportunity is the wide variety of corporate work available from traditional M&A and Private Equity work to more niche corporate / commercial work arising from specialist areas such as Sport. The team is regularly involved in advising Buyers and Sellers on some of the most exciting deals in the North West.

Examples of recent work

The breadth of work is truly impressive. Recent deals include advising:

• a PE house on the £10m investment into a leading tech / analytics firm;
• a national professional services brand on the strategic acquisition of a leading business advisory practice;
• on the disposal of a portfolio of real estate assets of a major food manufacturer.
• A well-known financial services company on an Employee Ownership Trust.

The team also advises on other corporate work including major JVs as well as cross-border transactions.

The department is well-structured allowing Associates to continue to build their technical expertise whilst also getting involved in business development and honing their client management skills.
