A Freight Forwarding company in Maldon is seeking a skilled Ocean Import Operator to manage import shipments from booking to delivery. The role involves handling all documentation, liaising with shipping lines and clients, ensuring customs compliance, and tracking shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage ocean freight imports from start to finish
• Coordinate with shipping lines and transport providers
• Handle import documentation (bills of lading, customs entries, invoices)
• Ensure compliance with UK/international regulations
• Provide timely shipment updates to clients
• Maintain accurate records and assist with invoicing

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean freight or import/export operations
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures and freight documentation
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Proficiency in freight management systems and Microsoft Office
