Non-contentious Construction Solicitor 4PQE

This long-standing London City firm is looking to recruit a solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE to join its highly regarded Construction team.

Their clients include developers, major corporations, funders, contractors, sub-contractors, construction consultants, local authorities, registered providers of social housing and PFI consortia.

The Role will include the following responsibilities: -

• Advising on and drafting/reviewing construction contracts (e.g. payments, extensions of time, loss and expense, defects, procurement and insurance issues), project agreements and security documents;


• A comprehensive understanding of the operations and mechanics of the JCT suite and other standard industry form of contracts, particularly the traditional forms (standard building contracts), design and build, intermediate forms, minor works agreements and measured term contracts;


• An understanding of alternative procurement methods to design and build, such as construction management or management contracting;


• An understanding of procuring developments through JV structures, facilities management and asset management contracts would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ PQE of non-contentious construction experience in private practice, be admitted to practice as a solicitor in England & Wales and possess strong academics.
