Residential Building Surveyor

Come and work with us as a Residential Building Surveyor. We are a young, multi-disciplinary Building Surveying company based in South Yorkshire, with plans to grow and serve the wider Yorkshire region, North of England and Midlands.

Established in 2021 Honeywell Survey & Design Ltd. - a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) registered firm, based in Barnsley and covering the wider Yorkshire region. We operate to the highest technical and professional standards in the residential and commercial surveying market. Honeywell Survey & Design Ltd will operate a flexible working environment to suit the individual, with a host of dedicated support staff and easy access to the director to support each and every employee.

We have embraced technology and new working practices, to ensure the quality of output and client satisfaction is not compromised. We use on-site data capture software, using an iPad for data collection, and report write-up. This method ensures consistency and simplicity for the employee. We ensure all equipment used is of the highest quality. All required equipment will be provided.

The Position:

The residential surveyor will be AssocRICS or MRICS as a minimum, or close to qualification. VRS is desired but not essential. The role will include undertaking the following regular instructions: Snagging Inspections, Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys on a wide range of property types. Opportunity for development, further qualification and specialism will also be explored.

We focus on quality, and our target is no more than 5 surveys per week per surveyor.

Depending on experience, the surveyor may also have opportunity to undertake a host of different work types, for example, Party Wall Services, Dilapidations, Schedules of Conditions, Measured Surveys, Project Design and more as the business develops its client portfolio. Other experience will be valued and nurtured into the future of the business, and this would be ideal.

This will primarily be a home-based role, with an office local to Barnsley available when desired and required. You will be invited to attend the bi-monthly to; work alongside other team members, an in house CPD session, develop team working, be briefed on a general business update, and to attend a paid-for employee lunch.

The Location:

Honeywell Survey & Design Ltd it based in Barnsley, with great travel links to all major towns and cities in Yorkshire, , the North and Midlands. The office is located a short walk from the interchange, and a short drive from the M1.

Positions for surveyors will be based in their individual region, and we are recruiting for surveyors to cover, Manchester/Liverpool and Barnsley/Wakefield/Leeds. You may occasionally be asked to venture further afield to cover absence / leave etc and to ensure you retain a full diary.
