Opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development Trainer, based in Essex, to join this business as they grow their operation.

As L & D Trainer for a busy food manufacturing site you’ll report into the General Manager.

This is a new role in the business due to exponential growth and a need to ensure that training needs are identified and addressed by working closely with department managers, HR, and production supervisors.

Day-to-day you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees within the manufacturing business. This role involves conducting needs assessments, creating training materials, and facilitating both classroom and on-the-job training sessions to ensure that employees are well-equipped to meet production goals and adhere to safety and quality standards.

This role will suit a Learning and Development professional based in Essex or someone who is able to relocate that has worked “on the shop floor” in food manufacturing, FMCG manufacturing, Logistics / Distribution, or in a similar blue-collar working environment.

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Learning and development experience in a food manufacturing, FMCG manufacturing, Logistics / Distribution, or in a similar blue-collar working environment
• Experience in both group and one-to-one training and coaching
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, processes, and technologies
• Relevant certifications in learning and development or training, such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Health & Safety, Food Safety, etc
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and e-learning software
