Position: People Business Partner

Reporting to: The Head of People

Contract type: Full Time, Permanent


This role requires occasional travel to a Colchester office and travel to other Care offices when needed

The role


We have a new opportunity due to expansion in our team. We are looking for a forward thinking HR Business Partner to provide a first-class service to the organisation. To ensure the HR Strategy and it’s underpinning operational deliverables are delivered across the business efficiently and that our stakeholders are engaged with.


Management of employee relations, organisation change and OD activities, HR data, upskilling and coaching managers, organisational effectiveness and building future capabilities. When required you’ll get to work with some inspirational stakeholders internally and externally to ensure the delivery of an effective, customer-friendly HR service.


Responsibilities:


  • Partnering with the business to deliver and embed HR initiatives across the business.
  • Focus on continuously building, developing and improving all HR processes, procedures and policies to lead to the delivery of a best in class HR service.
  • Advising business stakeholders on strategic people initiatives and proposing action plans and interventions in their areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for advising and managing ongoing employee relations casework, working proactively and collaboratively with managers to support casework and aiming to deliver training to upskill managers in this area.
  • Taking full ownership of the end to end employee lifecycle across the business functions that the role holder is responsible for.
  • Managing and delivering major change programmes including acquisitions, redundancies, TUPE and changes to terms and conditions.
  • Navigating the business through ongoing change and looking to continuously improve the way we manage integrations and acquisitions.
  • Build relationships and form alliances with internal and external stakeholders seeking opportunities to collaborate and innovate in business areas.
  • Coach and build the capability of leaders and managers to pre-empt organisational issues and help improve business efficiency.
  • Continuously looking for ways to optimise, automate and improve our HR delivery.
  • Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.

Preferred experience:


  • Prior experience as an HR Business Partner, within the domiciliary care sector would be a bonus but not essential.
  • Experience of managing and driving HR initiatives in an extremely fast-paced, complex environment
  • High level influencing and communication skills
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law would be beneficial
  • Delivery focused, solutions orientated and determined with a collaborative and communicative working style
  • Practical, logical and pragmatic; able to solve problems quickly
  • Enthusiastic about being in an ever changing environment
