Freight Forwarder

Position: Freight Forwarder

Location: Manchester, UK

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the import and export of goods from various international locations.
• Arrange collections with assigned transportation companies.
• Collaborate with clients, branch offices, global agents, and transport providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide top-notch customer service, addressing inquiries and giving timely updates.
• Track shipments, handle invoicing, and manage pre-alerts from overseas offices and agents.
• Process Customs entries as needed.
• Oversee shipments until they reach their final destination.
• Manage job costing and invoicing.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a UK-based freight forwarding company.
• Experience in import or export operations, including air, road, or sea freight.
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures.
• Proficient with freight-related software such as Cargowise, Multifreight, etc.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
