About the Role

We will provide you with full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to safely and effectively work as a Team Leader to

  • Lead and motivate a small team through a practical and hands on approach
  • Set priorities to maximise production efficiency and promote working practices that develops a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and open communication
  • Identify and suggest improvements to the manufacturing and quality process to ensure agreed cost efficient production schedules
  • Assist with the installation of new plant equipment
  • Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies
  • Carry out factory inspections, giving advice and support to production operatives and other personnel
  • Monitoring quality from raw material to finished goods
  • Ensure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trained

Hours of Work:6.00pm till 4.30am, Monday to Thursday (nights)

About You

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a safety-first culture is essential
  • At least a years leadership experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role or similar
  • Experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries
  • Good exposure to health & safety standards, continuous improvement methods and environmental best practice
  • IT skills working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong organisational & planning abilities
  • Mechanical maintenance qualifications are desirable
