Job Description

We require an experienced working civils supervisor for a long term project undertaking drainage works

The Civil Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with established standards and regulations. This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage teams, coordinate resources, and maintain communication between various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and demonstrate exceptional supervisory skills.

Duties

Supervise daily operations on a large commercial project, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Working role so must be experienced in the knowledge and delivery of deep drainage and civiks works with a hands on approach.
Manage project schedules and allocate resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure adherence to design specifications and engineering standards.
Liaise with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
Prepare reports on project progress, challenges encountered, and solutions implemented.
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
Skills

Proven experience in supervising projects or teams within the civil engineering sector.
Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Must have a SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS card.

Will also need checkable references. No digs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay- £260 a day

On-site parking
