Job Description
Position Summary:
Sales Engineer (Commercial) responsible for selling and growing commercial equipment sales. Provides engineering support to contractors, mechanical engineers, and internal teams. Performs assigned duties as directed by the Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide sales and order support to mechanical contractors.
- Assist mechanical engineers with system selection and problem-solving.
- Visit customers daily, manage projects, and attend sales meetings.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Maintain professional relationships with key accounts.
- Prepare pricing and proposals from construction documents.
- Manage project schedules and coordinate with customers.
- Attend factory training and maintain product knowledge.
- Requires professional and reliable transportation.
Critical Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive knowledge in HVAC systems, equipment selection software, and product knowledge.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Windows applications and ability to learn specific software.
- Read, analyze, and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Apply technical formulas and mathematical concepts.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Proven success calling on various stakeholders in the industry.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Safety-sensitive position.
Effort:
- Spend most of the day visiting customers and attending meetings.
- Work both in the office and remotely.
- Fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and interruptions.
Education and Experience:
- BS in Engineering required, Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC sales experience.
