Job Description
Our client are a market leading UK manufacturer of LV-HV swithcgear and transmission and distribution equipment.
Their services include the development and construction of new grid connections, customer substations, private networks and operation of existing infrastructure within the electrical power industry.
They pride themselves on having a highly proficient and experienced team that delivers across the entire range of electrical power disciplines
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Authorised Person (SAP)/Fitter. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day project management, engineering, planning, and coordination.
They will also be responsible for SAP duties on new and existing electrical systems up to 33kV.
Duties and responsibilities
Manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. • Collaborate with team to plan, execute, and monitor projects from initiation to completion.
Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and address any challenges or deviations from the plan.
Manage contractors and suppliers to facilitate the smooth execution of projects.
Perform SAP duties for new and existing electrical systems up to 33kV, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Authorise and control switching operations, following established protocols.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company polices in all engineering activities.
Utilise AutoCAD and other relevant software for project design and documentation
Knowledge / Experience:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven experience in project delivery and engineering
Proven experience in the electrical power industry
HNC/HND/BSc/BEng in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Senior Authorised Person up to 33kV The following additional qualifications and skills will be beneficial for the role:
Experience with AutoCAD and other engineering software
Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical protection systems
Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations in the electrical power industry
