Hays are looking for a Maintenance Electrician in Edinburgh for a long-term contract.

Maintenance Electrician

Hays are working with a large maintenance contractor to recruit an experienced electrician to carry out electrical maintenance in the West Lothian area. The contractor manages a large number of council properties.
Your new role
You will work alongside other electricians as well as other tradespeople. You will also be required to work with members of the public when working on residential council properties;
Main responsibilities:

• Routine inspections and repairs of electrical systems and appliances
• Install, repair and replace wiring, fixtures and appliances
• Troubleshoot potential issues with electrical systems and locate causes of system malfunctions
• Ensure all electrical systems are compliant with local building and safety codes
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs and other maintenance activities

What you’ll need to succeed
You must be a fully qualified electrician with a valid ECS card and ideally experience in a maintenance environment. However, we are also happy to recruit qualified electricians with other backgrounds (site/industrial work). You will also need a valid UK Driving licence.
What you’ll get in return
You will be paid weekly with regular updates from your Hays consultant. We will pay you PAYE with no additional costs and the option of paid annual leave. This is a long-term opportunity with a reliable employer which can lead to the chance of a permanent role.
