Architectural Technician

Work Environment: This Cheshire based company offer a hybrid role combining office-based tasks, home working, and site visits across the UK to monitor project progress and ensure the highest standards are maintained. Ideally you will be based within a 70 mile radius south of Crewe.

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum

Position Overview

Acorn By Synergie is looking for a skilled Architectural Technologist or Building Surveyor to join their client's expanding Design & Project Management team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key member of the team, you will work on a variety of residential projects, from initial client consultation to project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct measured surveys and assess property layouts.
  • Prepare and submit planning and Building Regulations applications.
  • Create detailed tender packages, including drawings, specifications, and schedules of work.
  • Collaborate with contractors and oversee the progress of construction projects on-site.
  • Administer Building Contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Handle snagging inspections, valuations, and project sign-offs.
  • Regularly liaise with clients to ensure their needs and requirements are fully understood and met.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, or a related qualification (HND/HNC acceptable).
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit (3D visualisation skills are a plus).
  • Experience in residential property design and development.
  • Familiarity with producing drawings for RIBA stages 2-4.
  • Previous experience submitting planning applications and a solid understanding of UK Building Regulations.
  • Contract administration experience would be an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with both clients and team members.
