Quality Control Engineer

Job Description
The Role:
- Reviewing production documentation and inspecting the quality of production equipment.
- Overseeing the non-conformance and change management process across the production cycle, from the machine shop to package assembly and testing.
- Monitoring build processes and inspecting components throughout manufacturing, using contract-specific Inspection and Test Plans (I&TP).
- Supporting instrumentation and equipment calibration activities.
- Conducting inspections and assessments, including using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment.
- Inspecting painted components, including checks on paint adhesion, thickness, and quality.
- Assessing the quality of welds using visual and basic measuring equipment.
- Reporting on non-conformances to specifications and drawings.
- Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
You:
- A HNC/D or City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, or demonstrable industry experience.
- Experience in Quality Inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment, including Metrology/Calibration/FARO Arm CMM.
- Knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing processes and the ability to evaluate and solve problems.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, certification, client specifications, and standards (API, ISO, PED, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workloads and handle competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Benefits:

- Basic hours: Office hours are 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 08.30 to 17.00 (30 minutes unpaid lunch break), and Friday from 08.30 to 13.00.
