Ready to join a site as its growing?How would you like to work for a company that can accelerate your career?We are looking for someone like you.Were currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to be based at our customer site in Ilkeston, Derbyshire for our transport operations .You will be working across a Monday Friday shift pattern.

Pay, benefits and more:

Were looking to offer a salary of up to £30,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. Youll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

What youll do on a typical day:

• Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
• Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner
• Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
• Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.
• To build and maintain a strong partnership with the transport functions and drivers to ensure regular communication is delivered.
• Driver brief and de-briefing as well as data entry of statistics, customer reports and KPIS

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Excellent communication skills youll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
• Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
• Good administrative skills
• Working knowledge of drivers hours regulations
• Have a positive can-do attitude
• Experience working in a Transport role would be desirable
• Being proactive in identifying and resolving any potential issues before they occur
