We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to Support the Maintenance of Westrace. This role will work as part of a dedicated front-line support team and involves working closely with the customer to provide support, advice, system fixes and enhancements to installed Siemens Signalling systems installed in the UK and some overseas accounts such as Oslo Metro

This role is primarily based in our Chippenham office, with some travel required to visit customers within the UK and in Oslo for on-site work.

You will make an impact by:
  • Investigating and resolving first and second-line faults, offering guidance to customer technical officers to assist in corrective maintenance activities, primarily through remote support.
  • 3 rd line telephone support to customers on the relevant technology to aid fault rectification.
  • Log analysis for fault and incident investigations and subsequent reporting of findings to the client.
  • Investigating and responding to formal Technical Questions from the client.
  • Looking for opportunities to bring more value in any way to our customers.
  • System health status checks.

Your success is grounded by:
  • 1st line corrective maintenance experience (rail signalling assets or equivalent preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Siemens Westrace.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a productive relationship with the customer and the Siemens team at different levels of the Orgainsation.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to liaise with varying levels of technical staff and customers.
  • Current and valid IRSE testing or maintenance license.
  • Current and valid PTS is desirable.
  • Experience with IT systems, including monitoring and security of railway signalling.
  • Experience of cyber security in a railway environment and railway operation display systems are preferred.
