Job Description
Network Engineer (NOC) – Leading Fibre Alt Net provider
Great opportunity for a Network Engineer in the ISP/Telco space looking to advance their career with a leading and rapidly growing Fibre Alt Net Provider.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support for customer fault management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot core network infrastructure, customer networks, systems, and services, following ITIL best practices.
- Carry out provisioning tasks, including automated and manual network element configurations, along with handling in-life add and configuration change requests.
- Manage, optimize, and upgrade network and system performance.
- Take ownership of the end-to-end fault lifecycle.
- Collaborate with key third-party suppliers, manage external contractors, and escalate vendor issues to ensure timely fault resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Lead the incident management process, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders and external customers on fault progress until resolution.
- Enhance the monitoring architecture and systems to boost service resilience for customers.
- Perform scheduled tasks /Manage network capacity.
- Deliver key metrics and reports as required.
Experience and Knowledge
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a NOC environment.
- CCNP/JNCIP certifications or relevant experience.
- Network monitoring tools - Libre NMS, Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana.
- Proven supplier management skills.
- Strong customer-centric focus with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with network systems and basic system administration skills.
