Underwriting Manager

Our client is a lender and broker comprising a number of UK asset finance companies. They are currently going through a significant period of growth and this role offers the opportunity to grow with the business.

The Group Underwriting Manager is responsible for overseeing the group's credit underwriting process and ensuring prudent risk management practices to support their risk management appetite, risk framework, strategic plans, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Leading and mentoring a team of commercial credit underwriters responsible for assessing credit worthiness, determining risk exposure, and structuring facilities for SME customers

. • Reviewing and implementing first-line credit underwriting processes and procedures to optimise lending decision making and manage workflow including introduction of automated decisioning tools

. • Overseeing the end-to-end credit assessment process, including risk analysis, financial modelling and due diligence, to make informed lending decisions.

Required skills and experience:

Have held a personal mandate of c£250k

Experience as a Senior Underwriter in general Asset Finance

Experience leading or mentoring Underwriters
