Job Description

Purpose of job:


Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.


The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.


The Commercial Analyst will work within Zest’s Business Operations team to ensure the terms in contractual arrangements with customers and suppliers are fully understood and economically viable for the business, as well as monitoring the financial performance of projects from capital investment to performance.


Key Accountabilities:


The role is responsible for the following:

  • Bidding and tender commercial support including site reviews, contract requirements & pricing
  • Partnering with the finance department to outline and produce financial models
  • Provide support to the Commercial Manager on various tasks
  • Commercial internal and external data analysis
  • Produce request for information documents
  • Commercial contract reviews
  • Supporting lease creation
  • Maintaining up to date commercial and contractual trackers
  • Plus, any other duties as required by management or the leadership team


Outcome, Results and Key performance indicators:

  • Accurate commercial opinions and information provided to the business in a timely manner
  • Improved efficiency in the Commercial team
  • Increased analytical outputs from the team


Key Relationships:

  • Internal – Business Development, Operations, Finance & Legal Teams
  • External – Clients, Local Authorities, Legal Teams


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Analyst or similar role
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent project management expertise
  • Negotiation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the EV infrastructure and renewable energy industry
  • Decisiveness and commercial acumen
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good at building relationships both internally and externally


Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level, desired.
