Warehouse Team Manager

We have a great opportunity for Warehouse Team Managers to join one of our clients' new 528,000 sq. ft shared user facility in Rockingham, designed to deliver highly automated end-to-end eFulfilment services to multiple customers, enabled by a cloud-based WMS.

They are looking for 6 x experienced Warehouse Team Managers to support with peak delivery, on fixed-term contracts until 31st January 2025.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, Warehouse Team Managers lead and motivate teams of warehouse operatives, to achieve and where possible exceed KPI’s, delivering to a high level on time, quality and cost and in line with customer service expectations.

Shifts are any 5 from 7 and weekly rotating: 06.00am – 14.00pm / 14.00pm – 22.00pm. Includes some weekends.

Starting salary between £28,000 and £30,000 depending on experience, plus £2000 p.a shift premium.

How will you contribute?

• Motivate and manage a team of warehouse operatives across various shift patterns.
• Ensuring teams are working to achieve and where possible exceed KPI’s delivering a high level on time, on cost and in line with customer service expectations.
• Championing health and safety best practices across the site ensuring all teams work in line with processes to keep everyone safe, implementing a safety-first culture.
• Responsible for clearly cascading working procedures and escalating any issues that arise.
• Manage absence, conduct and performance issues in line with company policies with the support of the people team.
• Assist in the recruitment and induction of new colleagues with the support of the people teams.

What will you bring?

• Previous management or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment is essential.
• Detailed understanding of warehouse management systems.
• Safety-focused who is passionate about the welfare of our people.
• A strong communicator at all levels.
• Proactive and flexible in your approach to work.
• Experience in working with automated processes is an advantage, but not essential.
