Overview
Estimator to join our growing family run building firm operating across the Domestic, Commercial and Heritage sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting the Commercial Director in preparing accurate and competitive bids for various construction projects.
* Gathering and analysing project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation.
* Calculating material quantities and costs, labour hours, and equipment requirements.
* Assisting in the preparation of subcontractor and supplier inquiries and evaluations.
* Reviewing and analysing subcontractor bids and proposals.
* Assisting in the preparation of project cost estimates and budgets.
* Assisting with change order management and cost tracking.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in Construction Estimating, formal training/qualification preferred.
* Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials. Experience across multiple construction disciplines desirable.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
