Senior Engineering Manager/Director - IT Product Architecture

Mandatory requirements: - 1-2 yrs managing an engineering team - Tech skills : AWS, Android, React, MySQL, MongoDB - Java is only a preferred skill - Techno-managerial exp - Only from product organisations Responsibilities : - Hands-on coding experience - Directly works with the founding team - Involved in Strategy, prioritisation and Product Planning: Direct, review, and approve product design and changes. - Giving clarity to the product and business teams plans for next 1-2 months: Conduct planning for 3 release cycles and make sure engineers are not stressed - Recruit employees- assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of employee competence - Keep engineers engaged productively and make sure all development is happening in a scalable way. Desired Experience :- - Past Product company background or experience of working in growing start-ups is preferred - Have experience of atleast 2years in leading an engineering team, either as an engineering manager or as a senior engineer/technical lead. - Have a track record of holding a team accountable to goals and aligned with company-wide strategic priorities, while maintaining high levels of autonomy on your team Skills required :- - Leadership, Decision-Making skills. - Effective communication - Attention to Detail - Task Delegation - Have a deep understanding of how software is built and deployed. - Comfortable with participatory management (ref:hirist.tech)
