EDI Consultant - EDIFACT

Job Title : EDI Developer. Location : Remote. Experience : 7. Shift Timings : 3-11 PM. Employment Type : Contract. Key Responsibilities : - Analyze and interpret EDI requirements and specifications provided by customers, trading partners, or internal teams. - Develop, test, and implement EDI maps, transformations, and scripts to ensure seamless integration with business systems and processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions for EDI integration and data exchange. - Configure and maintain EDI translation software, communication protocols, and related tools to ensure reliable and secure data transmission. - Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, identify and resolve issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent future problems. - Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders regarding EDI standards, protocols, and best practices. - Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth EDI operations. - Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and projects related to EDI integration and automation. Qualifications and Skills : - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. - Proven experience working with Sterling B2B Integrator as an EDI developer or in a similar role. - In-depth knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT), protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP), and data formats (XML, CSV). - Strong understanding of business processes, supply chain operations, and ERP systems. - Proficiency in EDI mapping and translation tools (such as Sterling Integrator). - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload. - Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
