Working as Transport Co-Ordinator you will: Assist with the keeping of records, ensuring legal compliance Root cause analysis to understand variances occurring within all aspects of daily operation. Maintain excellent standard of customer service. Assist with planning and organising daily routes for all drivers with particular emphasis on ROI. Ensure efficient use of driver, vehicle and asset resource. Ensure effective management of Operators licence and requirements and that all vehicles are insured, taxed and PSVd accordingly. Be proactive in identifying and implementing supply chain efficiency savings such as vehicle utilisation, fuel management. Manage manpower requirements of the driving team and ensure schedule optimised at all times. Provide strategic direction across our team and will assist with the implementation of our department strategy in the utilisation of our company assets and vehicles. Skills for Success Joining us as Transport Co-Ordinator the minimum criteria youll need is: Previous experience in a busy transport planning role or able to demonstrate experience in a similar role. A minimum of 5 GCSEs grade A-C (or equivalent). The Attributes youll need include: Great customer service skills and an ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Clear and concise communication skills to be able to work effectively with other departments (such as Customer Service, Sales, Trading, and Transport) as required. Adaptability, and able to work on your own initiative. Keen problem solver, able to overcome various challenges that arise during day-to-day operation. It is desirable if you have: Relevant qualification relating to logistics/transport.
