Job title: Steel Detailer Location: Lisburn, Northern Ireland Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: DOE (£22,000 - £27,000 per annum) Join our clients leading steel fabrication and construction company based in Lisburn. They specialise in delivering high-quality structural steel solutions for a range of commercial, health and education projects across the UK and Ireland. Role Overview: As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for creating detailed fabrication and erection drawings for structural steel components using industry-standard software such as Procore. You will collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure all projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Produce detailed 2D and 3D steel fabrication drawings and models using AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar software. Interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings to develop accurate and precise detailing. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure the drawings meet project specifications. Review and verify design plans, ensuring all components meet the required building codes and industry standards. Communicate with clients and contractors to resolve design-related issues and provide technical support during the fabrication and installation phases. Maintain and manage drawing files, ensuring all revisions and updates are accurately documented. Requirements: Proven experience as a Steel Detailer within the construction industry or related field. Proficiency in using steel detailing software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, ProCore or similar. Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, construction practices, and building regulations. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and develop Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce highly accurate drawings. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Desirable: A degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction, or a related field. Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) processes.
