Job Description

HR Administrator Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Limited (The Group) is the second largest dairy processor on the island of Ireland. The business is complex and ambitious with a milk supply pool of 2 billion litres of milk, drawn from over 3,200 family farms across 16 counties. With the most modern dairy manufacturing facilities in 8 locations on a cross border basis, the Group supplies to a broad customer base including some of the worlds foremost blue chip companies across the dairy food ingredients, foodservice and consumer food channels on a domestic Ireland, UK, European and global basis. Internationally we export some 240 different products to over 100 countries worldwide. The Groups Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef, and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland. Applications are invited for the above position to work as part of our HR Team based on our Newtownards site. There will be an expectation of some travel in this role in particular to Ballyrashane and Artigarvan as well as other Lakeland sites. The Role The HR Administrator will be responsible for assisting the wider HR teams in NI/GB with a variety of tasks to support the delivery of an efficient and effective HR service. The role will be responsible for providing a high standard of administrative support for the HR function to include the following areas: Recruitment & Selection, Inductions, Training & Development, Employee Relations, HR Policies & Processes, HR Systems & Projects. The Person The role requires a candidate to have attained GCSE English and Maths (Grace C or above) (or equivalent). A candidate who has attained their CIPD Level 3 or is working towards this would be considered advantageous. It is essential that candidates have previous experience in an HR department/office and related tasks. Experience working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects is essential. A candidate with previous experience working in manufacturing or FMCG is desirable. The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office and will ideally have experience using HR information systems. The role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build relationships as part of a team. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is essential. The candidate must have a strong ability to analyse and sort a high level of data as well as excellent organisational skills to project manage and deliver on deadlines.
