Bricklayer (public sector)

Bricklayer (Public Sector) VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an Bricklayer for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Portadown site. Responsibilities: Interpret construction plans and specifications to determine layout and materials required. Measure and cut bricks, blocks, or other materials to size using hand or power tools. Lay bricks or blocks in courses, ensuring alignment and levelness. Apply mortar between bricks or blocks and remove excess mortar to achieve a neat finish. Repair or replace damaged bricks or blocks as needed. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and contractors to complete projects efficiently and to high standards. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment. The Ideal Person: Proven experience as a Bricklayer, preferably in the public sector or construction industry. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Valid driver's license may be required. Experience working on Response Maintenance contracts Remuneration £25,000 - £27,000 plus Van & Fuel Card.
