Job Description
A well-established residential property developer with a reputation for delivering high-quality homes is looking to appoint a Senior Design Manager to join their team and play a pivotal role in overseeing the design process for multiple high rise residential developments.. The role will initially be office based in Warrington, but will also involve visiting live sites in Manchester. As the business continues to grow, there will also be the opportunity to develop and manage a Design team.
The Role:
As the Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design process from initial concept to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Working closely with architects, engineers, and external consultants, you will lead the coordination of design activities and ensure alignment with the overall project objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the design process across multiple residential developments.
Collaborate with external architects, engineers, and consultants to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Ensure designs are practical, buildable, and cost-effective, aligning with project timelines and budgets.
Coordinate with internal teams, including planning and construction, to ensure a smooth workflow from design through to construction.
Review design documentation at various project stages to ensure compliance with building regulations, planning laws, and client specifications.
Foster a culture of innovation and sustainability, integrating modern design practices and construction methods.
Provide regular progress reports to senior stakeholders, ensuring key milestones are met.Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a Design Manager role, ideally within the high rise residential sector.
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning processes, and construction methodologies.
Experience working with design and project management software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage external consultants and coordinate with internal teams.What's On Offer:
