Process Engineer (contract)

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a leading global manufacturer, who is seeking a Process Engineer (contract) to join their team.

The company is looking for a Process Engineer (contract) to lead production process improvement efforts, including process definition, routing, takt time planning, and line balancing. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production flows, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), and ensuring that production resources meet both quality and cost objectives.

As the Process Engineer (contract) you will:

• Participate in NPI project meetings to assess production impacts and plan accordingly.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and reduce production costs.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure the right materials are sourced at optimal quality and cost.
• Work with suppliers to ensure that all components meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Partner with the Site Production Manager to optimize production planning and ensure smooth processes.
• Oversee Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and manage the introduction or phase-out of materials and processes.

To be considered for the Process Engineer (contract) role:

• Proven experience as a Process Engineer, ideally with a background in electrical/electronic manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of PCBA and box build processes, including managing production test equipment.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFMEA, Control Plans, SOPs).
• Expertise in line balancing, process flow analysis, and takt time planning, with experience in 5S methodology.
• Strong background in VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) to improve processes and purchasing.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with tools such as RA, CA, 5Y, and 8D.
