Staff Discount Reporting to the COO, you will play a pivotal role in leading, shaping and developing the Finance function and its team members to deliver the business demands for today and tomorrow as the company proceeds through an extensive period of growth. Managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the business whilst also driving robust financial controls, commercial process efficiencies and reporting advancements. As part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) you will be required to build relationships at all levels, influence decision making at a senior level, uphold the company culture and values as well as play an integral part in delivering the 3-year vision for the company with your SLT team members. The business has formulated a high growth strategy to deliver its 3-year vision and as the company expands, it is envisaged that you will advance to the role of Finance Director upon the successful completion of your first-year objectives.

Main Duties:

Manage, mentor and motivate the Finance team
Leads the preparation and communication of the weekly financial KPIs
Supervise the preparation and publication of all monthly financial statements to all internal and external stakeholders
Co-ordinate the periodic financial reporting and review of Departmental performances providing challenge, guidance and feedback to all budget holders
Ensure the completion of bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Ownership of the annual budgets and quarterly forecast process covering PL, BS & CF
Supervise the preparation of periodic VAT returns
Oversee the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
Manage the audit process and liaising with external partners
Lead cash flow management, forecasting and delivery of initiatives to optimise cash flow performance
Work closely with the SLT to achieve the goals of the business and manage the financial risk of the company creating risk mitigation plans where necessary. Knowledge:

Holds a full qualification in accountancy, certified through ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW
Has excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
Possesses a mastery of Excel and accountancy databases as well as the ability to attain relevant information from different sources.
Develops and delivers functional plans to deliver required departmental objectives, pulling levers such as operational analysis, business process efficiencies, digital technology enhancements and team development
Contributes to the functional strategic development
