6 month fixed term contract (temp to perm opportunity)
Company Overview:
Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with a large logistics company on the appointment of an enthusiastic Accounts Clerk to join their finance team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for candidates with little or limited experience to develop their skills and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the preparation of financial reports, invoices, and statements.
* Perform bank reconciliations and ensure financial data is up to date.
* Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring all records are well-documented.
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.
* Help with the preparation for audits and assist with any financial queries.
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial requirements.
* Respond in a timely manner to queries relating to sales and purchase invoices.
Skills & Experience:
* Basic knowledge of accounting principles is beneficial but not essential.
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work accurately and manage deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
* Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not required. Full training will be provided.
