Senior Onshore Pipeline EngineerAbout the job:Kent is looking for a Senior Onshore Pipeline Engineer who will be responsible for coordinating the production of engineering deliverables and providing progress reporting for a project in accordance with the project plan. Typically, works as a Pipeline engineer reporting to the lead engineer on a feasibility, concept, FEED, detailed design or EPC project. Undertakes specified tasks / areas of work dependent on size and complexity of project, as defined by the lead engineer or project / project engineering manager. Supervising and checking the work of other engineers as delegated by the lead engineer / group manager. Responsible for communicating technical / project issues potentially impacting the project to the lead engineer.The Senior Pipeline Engineer is typically accountable to the Principal Engineer or Project Engineer, discipline Lead Engineer and/or Project Manager, depending on size and complexity of the Project. Corporate reporting line is to respective Departmental / Group Manager. You will form part of a new Pipelines Delivery team to work closely and collaboratively with Kent’s existing Subsea and Pipelines Centre of Excellence to deliver and execute onshore and offshore pipeline projects.This is part of a recruitment drive to develop and grow our Front End and General Engineering capability in the UK. The UK Engineering group will support a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in Low Carbon / Energy Transition (CCUS, Green Hydrogen, Blue Hydrogen, Offshore Wind, Waste to X, Emissions Reduction) as well as responsibly developing traditional international energy projects. We operate a hybrid working model with a mix of office and home working, for our team to develop an effective team dynamic within Engineering.Skills & Responsibilities:

• Can be technically responsible for an area of work and prepare specific deliverables typical in FEED or Detailed Engineering Design projects, such as pipeline mechanical design, pipeline routing, stress analysis, producing datasheets and specifications, supporting CAD drawings etc.
• Supervising and checking the work of other engineers as delegated by the lead engineer / group manager.
• Undertakes specific tasks / area of work as defined by the Piplines lead / principal engineer.
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies and divergences from original proposal / contract under the supervision of the lead / principal engineer.
• Contributing to successful proposals and tenders.
• Supports the preparation of the Pipelines Deliverables Register and executes allocated tasks within the requirements of the project execution plan and TDR.
• Ensures compliance with Kent’s ISO accredited QMS, and project specific procedures, guides and standards.
• In consultation with Pipelines group manager takes responsibility for identifying own development needs and ensuring that agreed development goals are met taking due cognisance of project commitments.
• Performs related duties as and when instructed by lead / principal engineer or group manager.

These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

• Typically holds a Master’s Engineering degree (honours or equivalent) in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Naval Architecture or similar engineering discipline.
• Chartered status preferred.
• Exposure to FEED / detailed design and EPC projects.
• Experience of working for engineering / client organisations in the onshore / offshore oil and gas industry.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of subsea and pipeline engineering, and of regulatory frameworks, codes, and standards.
• Experience in design and analysis of CO2 and H2 onshore and offshore pipelines in the Low Carbon sector is considered advantageous.
