Position Title : Manager IT, Engineering Roles & Responsibilities : Exhibits strong business and leadership skills, deep technology perspective to guide solutions, and strong communication skills to coordinate with Engineers to ensure they understand business needs and objectives, as well as technical requirements of products Collaborates with Business and IT leadership to execute and communicate organizations technical vision, mission, and work priorities, and drives progress towards roadmaps and ensures efficient technical product management and effective communication with stakeholders Creates environment for delivery teams to be self-governing organizations who are accountable for their own performance and delivery commitments and measured accordingly Removes roadblocks, cultivates relationships, and effectively communicates across IT and at various levels of leadership Removes squad impediments and emphasizes cross-functional collaboration between roles Provide input on technology decisions, people management, and product features across all stages of product lifecycle Establish open lines of communication between engineering squads and IT leadership, and support clear adherence to business requirements Facilitate and monitor clear Engineer check-ins, sprint deliverables, and open communication toward squads and stakeholders Drives forward increased technical upskilling across organization with education, programs, and metrics Manage Engineer staffing strategy to ensure alignment to Scrum and Agile principles and work closely with Scrum Lead Promote use of industry leading technology trends and continuously assess AA IT needs and areas for improvement Manages and leads adoption and migration of new and emerging technologies Leads, develops, and mentors a high performing engineering team of individuals with a diverse range of technical skills and experiences Exhibits a desire for continuous learning and sharing of new knowledge within the organization Responsible for the hiring and managing of squad members, including staffing and performance reviews as well Responsible for budget management and forecasting Manages production issues and off-hours support, communication, and coordination, as needed Works extended hours occasionally, based on the needs of the project and the operation Experience Required : Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience: Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training 5 years of experience participating in delivery of solutions using ITIL / Agile / XP, or similar methodologies 3 years of experience leading product teams Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Airline industry experience, including engineering / business processes and supporting technology Skills, Licenses & Certifications Skills Required : Demonstrated expertise with protocol analyzers, and test equipment is desired. Experience working with network tools such as CA Spectrum and Wireshark Knowledge on Cisco routers, Cisco L2/L3 switches, load balancing, QOS, VPN, NAT, VoIP, IPSec, Multicast, DNS services, MPLS networks, network protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, SNMP, VLAN Trunking), and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF). Strong knowledge of Spanning-Tree protocols (PVST,MSTP,RSTP) Experience working with Velocloud/Viptela SDWAN/Aruba/Meraki/Nexus/Palo Alto Firewalls/Zscaler equipment is an advantage Basic understanding of public cloud and Azure cloud networking Experience with vulnerability management Basic Wi-Fi design understanding and troubleshooting skill Strong experience in switch upgrades and LifeCycle Management Principles. Strong experience with Vulnerability Management Programs Shift timings as this would require global support hence the candidate should be comfortable working in 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. / 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (IST)
