The role

The Project Civil Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the companies internal civil engineering team. The Civil Engineering Manager will be responsible to lead the design and management services across various markets and technologies. Their role focuses on adding value and mitigating risk for the business. They ensure the team delivers high-quality support to development, construction, and operational teams through:

• Managing project layout design and engineering at all stages, from development to operations.
• Coordinating engineering governance and technical solutions across different markets to ensure a unified approach and best practices.
• Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations (or their equivalent) for safety in design, serving as the PD or PSDP contact when required.
• Driving continuous improvement and integrating innovative technologies.

Requirements

• Honours degree in Civil Engineering or related subject
• Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers (preference)
• Management and development of staff within a similar organisational structure
• Management of health and safety working practices and risk mitigation in design
• Design coordination and design application for renewable energy projects
• Development and implementation of new processes and technology
• Practical application of engineering knowledge to civil engineering projects
