Join the Operations Centre of Excellence in a high profile and influential role that will deliver the five year strategic vision for Operations and transform the operational capability across the bank
You’ll play a key role in driving change across Operations, and we’ll look to you to deliver goals on time, within budget and to the highest quality

What you'll do
In your new role, you’ll lead a work initiative, preparing, managing and providing reporting on all project plans, controls and resource plans. You’ll make sure that activities are in place to adequately prepare the business and engage all the appropriate stakeholders effectively to enable change to be implemented and handed over.
Additionally, you’ll be building and maintaining a positive working relationship with senior stakeholders across multiple franchises, domains and functions and at different levels of hierarchy and as part of this you’ll be required to produce executive level presentations. As well as this, you may lead a team of external suppliers, working closely with supply chain services for the appropriate supplier selection from our framework.
You’ll also be:
Empowering and leading a team, often in multiple geographies, through the project lifecycle
Identifying, tracking, managing and mitigating any project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
Leading and defining project documentation and making sure that the solution clearly supports and is aligned to our strategic goals
Tracking and reporting project costs and making sure that the project is completed in allotted budgets
Making sure that all project deliverables satisfy the requirements and that they adhere to the agreed governance framework
Shaping business cases or benefits realisation and securing funding via investment processes
Addressing policy and control shortfalls and audit findings and implementing strategic solutions in response
The skills you'll need
You’ll need to hold an appropriate project management qualification, as well as have experience in change management. You’ll need experience of delivering change within a banking Operations team driving measurable business outcomes. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity and have the ability to pay keen attention to detail and a drive to understand emerging technical capabilities and how these might be leveraged by Operations.
It'll be ideal if you have experience of Agile processes and ceremonies as will be a familiarity with Model Risk governance.
You’ll also need:
Experience of driving large scale automation or AI with a drive to understand emerging technical capabilities and how these might be leveraged by Operations
Experience of analysing a broad range of data such as Operational, Technology, Finance and HR to support problem solving and decision making
Strong organisational skills and the ability to produce executive level presentations
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders at senior level across the bank
Critical thinking skills, enabling you to cut through complexity, and make sound decisions and recommendations that are carefully balanced against risk
