Job Description

Overview:
My client is seeking an all-rounder Estimator & Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role focuses on managing small to medium-sized projects ranging from £1,000 to £1 million, working in a well-established office with regular clients and repeat business. Duties and Responsibilities:

* Meet with clients to assess project scope and initial requirements.

* Produce accurate measures and take-offs for project estimates.

* Prepare tenders, estimates, and procurement schedules for various projects.

* Collaborate with subcontractors, issue tender documents, and manage subcontractor performance.

* Prepare client cost reports, manage billing, and monitor project costs.

* Oversee variations, changes, and financial appraisals of new opportunities.

* Work closely with architects and other professionals.

* Ensure compliance with building regulations and codes.

* Handle all project paperwork and visit sites as needed to monitor progress and cost management.

Requirements:

* Solid background in managing costs for projects within the industrial and commercial sectors.

* Proficiency in Estimating, Cost Control, BOQ production, and Cost Management.

* Experience working for a principal building contractor.

* Skilled in preparing detailed cost reports and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

* Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, and other software such as Asta Power Project.

* Experience with JCT & NEC contracts.

* A driver’s license is essential; a company vehicle will be supplied if required.

* Professional certification is preferred, but not essential.

* Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Hours of Work:

* Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

* Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
