Hiring Now: Commercial Manager, Middlesbrough.
Our client is a fast growing industrial services provider, who are a leading name within scaffolding, insulation, and specialist coating solutions.
They are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager with strong NEC contract knowledge and commercial project management skills, to support and drive the continued growth of their North East division.

What we are looking for in a Commercial Manager:
* A strong understanding of the various contract styles adopted for works within the industrial services sector, including the NEC Suite of Contracts
* Familiarity with Scaffolding, Insulation and Specialist Coating Works
* Excellent negotiation & analytic thinking skills
* A deep understanding of contract law
* Robust commercial awareness
* Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
* Capacity to support and develop the capabilities of the existing commercial team
* Project management and team leadership skills
The main responsibilities of a Commercial Manager:
* Overseeing projects based on Teesside and North West, England.
* Monitoring plans to ensure deadlines are met, projects stay within budget, and work is delivered in accordance with the contract
* Managing the supply chain including managing the procurement of key subcontracts and ensuring contractual requirements are obtained
* Contract Management: Effective documentation control, Implementing and promoting robust controls to maintain effective commercial management
* Preparing scheduled cost / value reporting
* Supporting the preparation of subcontractor orders
* Processing formal documentation in line with business management systems
* Commercial Management: Draft and issue sub-contract notices (i.e. early warnings, delay notifications, payment schedules, contract commencement instructions, completion status, site instructions)
* Understand and support the external valuation process (including issuing to client, obtaining payment certificates, raising invoice requests, issuing invoices and supporting
* cashflow)
* Effectively manage the subcontract valuation process (including collating subcontractor applications, payment notices and payment input)
* Undertake the month end commercial reporting requirements
* Distribution of cost reports with supporting back up
* Plus other related responsibilities....
