Job Description

Job Purpose: Responsible for supporting the Rail Sector in achieving sales and profit targets by delivering technical expertise and fostering effective customer engagement. This includes interpreting technical drawings, offering product recommendations, managing leads in Salesforce CRM, and delivering accurate quotations. The role also focuses on building strong client relationships, providing technical guidance during product installations, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery. The role involves actively participating in product demonstrations and industry events, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of company products, market trends, and competitor activities.


Responsibilities of the role include:

· Support the Sector Manager in achieving sales and profit targets by meeting individual goals.

· Interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications to provide accurate quotations and make product recommendations.

· Provide technical guidance to contractors and sub-contractors during product installation and assist team members with technical solutions when needed. Ensure timely customer support and resolution of client issues.

· Manage and qualify leads in Salesforce CRM, ensuring accurate, timely quotes with supporting documentation, such as technical drawings, to assist in customer decision-making.

· Keep CRM information up to date, including follow-up and estimated close dates.

· Build strong relationships with clients to convert leads into orders, prioritising face-to-face meetings, with follow-ups through video calls, phone calls, and emails as necessary.

· Collaborate with design agencies, CAD, Marketing, and other team members to specify Dura products, ensuring timely and accurate information is shared.

· Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to customers and at industry events, effectively communicating the benefits of Dura products.

· Maintain a deep understanding of all company products, services, market conditions, and competitor activities to effectively communicate their benefits to customers.

· Provide weekly updates during Traction meetings, covering opportunities, projects, values, and material needs, helping your Line Manager manage stock levels for optimal project delivery.

· Ensure all orders include precise specifications for CAD and Operations to process efficiently.

· Stay open to new product and project opportunities, presenting ideas to your Line Manager or Directors for review.

· Efficiently utilise the Order Management Team, providing clear instructions to ensure accurate work processing.

· Provide support to team members during holidays, training, sickness, or business travel.


Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

· At least 5 years of experience in the Rail Industry sector.

· Relevant technical product knowledge and expertise.

· Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technical Sales, or a related field.

· Ability to perform detailed take-offs to develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for accurate quoting.

· Strong understanding of the company’s and department’s vision.

· Excellent communication skills with a high level of professionalism.

· Willingness to travel as required for customer meetings and industry events.

· Experience with CRM systems.

· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

· Strong judgment, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

· Exceptional active listening and interpersonal communication skills.

What’s on offer?

Basic Salary:

£50,000 - £65,000 per annum (depending on experience)

NPGSBS:

Potential to earn 20% of Basic salary as part of the companywide Net Profit Gain Share Bonus System (NPGSBS)

OTE:

£60,000 - £78,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Car Allowance:

Opt Out Allowance - £6,729 - £7,477 (Electric or Plug in Hybrid) or £5,383 - £5,981 per annum (Petrol/Diesel). This allowance can be used to put towards an electric vehicle under the Salary Sacrifice Electric Car Scheme (subject to availability).

Or


Company Car:

The company provides you with a company car at £313 - £344 per month (Electric or Plug in Hybrid) or £225 - £250 per month (Petrol/Diesel). You will have the option to add a personal monthly contribution.


Total Package:

£67,477 - £85,477 per annum (depending on experience and assuming opt out of car allowance with access of an electric/hybrid vehicle)

IT Equipment:

Fully expensed mobile phone, laptop & accessories.

Holidays:

20 days per year plus 8 Bank Holidays.

Option to purchase 5 additional days per year.

Additional Holiday awarded based on length of service.
