Medical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is hiring Medical Lab Scientist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Jacksonville FL

. This is a 6-month Contract job with a possible extension opportunity we are looking for permanent candidates and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

BLOOD BANK GENERALIST

Location: Jacksonville FL

Job Type: 6+ months - W2 contract - with possible extension

Schedule:2nd shift 230-11pm M-F

Every 4th weekend 7a-

7pm

Pay Range: $25-$40

(Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)

Responsibilities:

· Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist.

· Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.

· Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

· Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.

· Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.

· Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.

· Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.

· Assist with processing of specimens when needed.

Qualifications:

• 4-year BS or MLT.
• ASCP OR AMT is a must
