Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST (CARDIO-VASCULAR SPECIALITY) to support our client’s medical facility in WISCONSIN and other locations. This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

A Surgical Technologist (ST) in the cardiovascular surgical setting plays a vital role in assisting during cardiac procedures. These professionals are responsible for preparing the operating room, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use. Surgical techs conduct thorough checks of surgical supplies and instruments before each procedure and assist the surgical team during operations, such as coronary artery bypass grafting or valve replacements. In addition to their technical skills, cardiovascular surgical techs collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety. They monitor the surgical field, anticipate the needs of the surgical team, and provide essential support throughout the procedure

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the Operating Room: Ensure sterility and organization of instruments and supplies.
  • Assist the Surgical Team: Support surgeons by passing instruments and anticipating needs during procedures.
  • Monitor Sterility: Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Patient Safety: Assist with patient positioning and monitor vital signs during surgery.
  • Documentation: Record surgical data, including instruments and medications used.
  • Post-Operative Care: Clean and organize the operating room after procedures.
  • Patient Education: Provide information to patients and families about surgery and recovery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the surgical team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • BLS/ACLS certifications required.
  • NBSTAA LICENSE
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and stress management skills.

Additional Information:

  • Location: WISCONSIN and other locations
  • Job Type: 13 Weeks Contract
  • Shifts: 36 HR WEEKLY, 12 HR NIGHT SHIFT
  • Weekly Pay: $ 2100 to $ 2300

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
