Medical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s medical facility based in Vancouver, WA. This is a full-time contract of 3 months with possibilities of extension or conversion to permanent opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist

Shift: 3rd shift, 9 PM - 7:30 AM; (8 days on - 6 days off rotations)

Duration: 6+ months Contract with possibilities of extension

Location: Vancouver, WA

Pay Range: $38 - $46/ hour W2 without the benefits

Note:

• ASCP or AMT required.
• Generalist experience required.
• Blood Bank experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing based on established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper functionality and accurate results.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing procedures and problem-solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls to ensure consistency and accuracy in test results.
• Report accurate and timely test results to facilitate quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or 2 year associate degree in MLT.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
