Job Description

Major Duties (Job Description)

  • You will ensure compliance with Supply Chain Management (SCRM) requirements contained within the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) SCRM Guide and NAVWARINST 3800.
  • You will coordinate the development and implementation of local command policies and processes for SCRM and ensure those policies and processes are coordinated with the NAVWAR SCRM Lead.
  • You will ensure the cognizant leadership, sponsors and authorizing officials are aware of significant supply chain threats that cannot be reasonably addressed through technical mitigation, counter measures, or risk management procedures.
  • You will notify the NAVWAR SCRM Lead of discovered or suspected SCRM incidents for the purposes of proper reporting, further analysis, guidance on mitigations, and further actions.
  • You will assist the NAVWAR SCRM Lead with preparing Enterprise or DON level requests when a need for a threat analysis is required for suppliers of critical components as outlined in Criticality Analysis Process Overview.
  • You will coordinate with the NAVWAR SCRM Lead and SMEs on all NIWC LANT SCRM activities and matters.

Qualification Summary

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NO-5 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinate and implement SCRM (Supply Chain Risk Management) or SCRM-like policies, and analysis such as supply chain, industrial base logistics, cyber acquisition risk and/or contested logistics, liaise with internal or industry counterparts, AND communicate findings or recommendations to senior officials. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensuring the integration of all IT systems components; e.g. procedures, databases, policies, software, and hardware; planning systems implementation; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/ information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the systems analysis process. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Applying analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved IT systems to meet the requirements of customer organization. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Communicating professionally and effectively with a wide array of customer and contractor personnel from working level to senior management. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ability to use systems engineering processes to design and integrate disparate IT systems into a valuable solution.
