We are looking to expand our team in Edinburgh with the addition of a Project Manager. This role will be a critical member of the team developing renewable energy projects in the UK, with a focus on onshore wind.

We need passionate and talented people to help us deliver our ambitious plans to make a genuine contribution, by developing effective and high-quality green energy projects, and closing the gap between global emission reduction targets and reality.

Our team enjoys working collaboratively on projects, supporting each other to ensure that we get the best results first time round. You will be a committed team player, able to communicate effectively and confidently with both colleagues and external stakeholders.


As Project Manager, you will support and manage a number of renewable energy projects, that are progressing from inception through to consent and construction. Your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Working within the Development Team to support the de-risking of early-stage projects as well as helping support the progress of projects through development process
  • Undertaking analysis to identify renewable energy opportunities against key criteria
  • Contributing to preliminary and detailed multidisciplinary studies during the prospecting, site assessment, EIA, planning/consenting and design phases of all renewable developments and participate in the presentation of the studies
  • Coordinating external consultants to undertake Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and planning/consenting submissions.
  • Progressing projects in a timely manner to contractual conclusion and planning consent
  • Developing and implementing an effective stakeholder and communications strategy to engage with and build trusted relationships with landowners, local communities, planning authorities, statutory consultees and other key stakeholders, participating in site and community visits and meetings
  • Working with familiar software to analyse sites and support the wider team to identify the viability for commercial renewable projects
  • Developing and maintaining project registers for each project managed
  • Managing and monitoring project risks and budget and report to management team on project progress
  • Liaising effectively with team members to ensure the projects are suitably supported and any other reasonable tasks required to support the team in delivering our projects


Qualifications & skills;

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Project management, organisational, multi-tasking and communication skills
  • Comfortable working on projects with evolving scopes, in the context of competing priorities
  • Capable of developing and building excellent stakeholder and community relationships
  • Collaborative working across the company and multiple projects
  • Critical thinking, initiative, thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Ability to prepare and write clear, high quality, concise, accurate reports and communications in English
  • Ability to manage own time effectively and prioritise own workload to allow timely delivery of tasks
